$25,000 Grant | Winner Announced Live at the Community Impact AwardsApplication Deadline: January 30, 2026

The Power Players Nonprofit of the Year Award recognizes one outstanding nonprofit organization that is making a measurable, meaningful impact in our community. This $25,000 grant is designed to celebrate organizations that are changing lives, strengthening our region, and leading with purpose, innovation, and integrity.

This award is open to nonprofits of all sizes—from grassroots organizations to established institutions. If your organization is creating real change, we want to hear your story.

The winner will be selected from submitted applications and announced live on stage at the Power Players Community Impact Awards.

Award Criteria 

Applicants will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

1. Community Impact

Demonstrates clear, measurable impact on the individuals or communities served. Shows how your work is making a meaningful difference.

2. Mission Effectiveness

Strong alignment between your mission, programs, and outcomes. Evidence that your organization is delivering on its promise.

3. Leadership & Vision

Demonstrates strong leadership, clear direction, and a compelling vision for the future.

4. Innovation or Unique Approach

Shows creativity, originality, or a distinctive approach to solving a problem or serving the community.

5. Sustainability & Growth Potential

Demonstrates responsible stewardship of resources and the ability to sustain and grow impact over time.

6. Alignment with Community Values

Reflects a commitment to service, equity, collaboration, and community well-being.

Important: Organizations must be present at the Power Players Community Impact Awards to be eligible to receive the award.

The Power Players Nonprofit of the Year Award recognizes one outstanding nonprofit making a measurable impact in our community.

This $25,000 grant honors organizations of any size that demonstrate strong leadership, innovation, and meaningful community impact.

Help us recognize organizations and leaders who are redefining what it means to do good through business. Submit a nomination for one or more of the categories below — we will be donating $5,000 to the charity of your choice located within the Southwest Florida region in honor of the winner.

Estate Planning Excellence Award

Celebrates estate planning attorneys and firms that champion charitable giving, help clients create lasting legacies, and direct resources toward meaningful community impact.

Banking for Impact Award

Honors banks that lead with purpose—investing in underserved neighborhoods, expanding access to capital, and building stronger, more inclusive economies through community partnerships.

Insurance Industry

Community Resilience Award

Recognizing insurance firms that strengthen community resilience by helping neighborhoods prepare for, recover from, and build long-term stability after crises.

Faith-Based Community Impact Award

Honors churches that serve as anchors of hope—providing essential services, mobilizing volunteers, and transforming lives through faith-driven community action.

Real Estate Impact Award

Honors real estate professionals and firms that transform communities by expanding access to affordable housing, revitalizing neighborhoods, and driving responsible development.

Financial Advisor Philanthropy Award

Celebrating financial advisory firms that champion charitable giving, manage donor-advised funds, and lead community-focused investment strategies that create measurable local impact.

Retail Business for Good Award

Recognizes retailers that use their business as a force for good—investing in local causes, empowering employees to volunteer, and giving back to the communities they serve.
